My car reads speed limit signs. When the sign comes up that says 65, while the traffic is all moving at 72-75, it makes for some excitement when I suddenly slow down. I usually turn it off when I am on a freeway.

Yes I get that on this stretch of road, too.

And also Stangy recognises the 5mph limit in barriered off roadworks on motorways where the temporary speed limit is 60mph, that stands the car on its nose, drivers of ovloV, sinneD ainacS trucks behind in rearview mirror test their audible warnings and high beam headlights whilst trying out hand signals not currently in Highway Code, nearly wakes me up?

Is not using the cool features on your car some kind of bragging rights that people crave? I see boasting and pseudo-boasting on this forum all the time about what people don't / won't use.

I think it's about what people may find or not find useful. Not everone is the same. For instance there is no point in me subscribing to BlueCruise (even if it was available for my Job 1 2021) as it is only available on some UK Motorways, plus they're usually at a standill due to the roadworks and sheer number of traffic. Why you think it's about "bragging rights" or "boasting and pseudo-boasting" is beyond me.

I don't think my '22 GT has this update and I'm not at home (Idaho) to check. However I am renting a '23 Premium (AWD Extended range) from AVIS and it definitely has it. I found it yesterday because the car was driving me crazy when on stretches of Southern California freeways it would all of a sudden slow down and I noticed the set speed had changed (lower). Finally found this setting and turned it off.
