I understand that there are little drain holes, but I am concerned about other stuff getting in there (dirt, bugs, etc.). Also a bit concerned about when I wash the MME all the soap and water pooling in there with a slow trickle out of the drain holes. Has this been an issue for you? Thanks.

I had no issue and I noticed how well the water and soap trains out of them at the car wash.
