Might be even better than new due to updates.

To be fair, I have run a number of ICE over 200K without significant issue, but the effort to do that was not zero.
We have driven

Honda Insight (2000)
Honda Civic Hybrid (2006)
Ford C-Max (2013)

all were driven well over 230K miles. None had issues. I do have a 2013 500 Abarth With 80K that needs a clutch. I have it but just haven’t had the time to do it.

How in the world do you all hit 230k miles?? LOL I've had 10 cars previous to the Mach E I just got.... 1 One I totaled myself (87 S-10 w/175k miles on it, bought from an electrical contractor, was 17 and hit black ice on the highway), 3 were absolutely terrible quality and weren't worth the upkeep costs at around 60k (1985 Ford Tempo, 1984 Buick Skyhawk Wagon, 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, all former rental cars), one I just didn't like the trim and sold after 1.5 years (2005 Silverado work truck), had the tranny go out at 35k miles due to a manufacturing issue on one and traded it in (2007 Silverado LT), 2 got totaled by someone else hitting them (1992 Mercury Topaz coupe manual - loved this one, 2016 F-150 XLT, both around 60k), traded in one at around 60k due to needing more room than it provided because of a growing family (2010 Accord), and traded in the 2024 Tremor I had with 7k miles on it for the Mach e (due to cost of ownership). If I can keep this Mach E going to 230k miles, that would mean I'll be driving it for 30 years.... which means it might be the last vehicle I end up owning. I think I'd be ok with that.

I’m gone a couple months and all of a sudden some turned thin-skinned, pearl clutching whinos. Rookies, nonetheless and disrespectful to their elders šŸ§˜šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

This video features an interview with Dave, who has surpassed 350,000 miles on his 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E (1:18). The conversation focuses on his experiences with long-term electric vehicle (EV) reliability and debunking common myths surrounding EVs.

Key Takeaways:
  • Exceptional Reliability: Despite having over 358,000 miles on the odometer (2:11), the car has remained largely problem-free with no major mechanical issues (2:20).
  • Minimal Maintenance:Dave has spent very little on maintenance. Key expenditures include:
    • Brakes: He only replaced the front brake pads and rotors for the first time at 340,000 miles (5:06).
    • Suspension: He opted to replace the rear shocks at 340,000 miles (10:27).
    • Tires: He is currently on his seventh set of tires (24:02).
  • Battery Health: The original battery remains in the vehicle, showing only 8% degradation (6:34). Even with frequent fast charging—an often-cited concern among skeptics—the vehicle still provides between 286 and 290 miles of range on a full charge, compared to the original 306 miles (6:40, 17:40).
  • Charging Habits: Dave averages over 400 miles of driving per day for his private transportation business, requiring daily reliance on fast charging, yet the battery performance has remained robust (2:14, 18:33).
Future Goals:
Dave aims to reach a milestone of 476,000 miles, which he equates to the round-trip distance between the Earth and the Moon (13:59). He continues to use his Mach-E as an ambassador for EV technology, frequently discussing the benefits of electric ownership with his passengers (7:42, 38:00).
Amazing. Especially only 1 change of his front brakes.

That might be our grandkids! I got this OLD 2021 Mach-e from my grandpa, I swapped the battery for a small canister of spent uranium, did a motor upgrade and now it can run 1 million miles without charging and puts out 1000 hp.
Naw. Mr. Fusion runs on garbage.
