Working for an oil refinery I’ve come to realize that most of their new « air quality » laws have almost nothing to do with air quality and the little that are are based on invalid data from two decades ago.Yeah the SORE law is gonna be interesting. I'm waiting to see how it plays out. I.e. are propane powered engines included? I can't find anything that really speaks to that other than the "spark-driven" language. It's also only for 25hp engines and below. Most riding mowers are at about 20 already so I assume they will just up them a bit and bypass the law. As for generators I have a 25kWh gen and it only applies to 19kWh and below.
I feel like it's just going to make companies increase the hp, unnecessarily, in an effort to side-step the provisions which will in turn just pollute more.
Im just waiting to see how much more expensive landscaping companies will be. They will need an extra pickup truck to hold all their batteries ?.
Now I also have to go make my gas car LESS efficient since they want to go sniffing around for tunes now…
Californias environmental agenda looks good on paper but they’re too focused on promoting the end game that they skipped over all the steps required to get there effectively.
Anyways, I could go on forever… ?
