Mach-E auto insurance compared to a typical suv? or regular mustang?

My insurance quote in SoCal with Mercury insurance was quite reasonable. Going from a Kia to the Mach-E would only increase my policy price by about $175 every 6 months. Pretty dang good in the most expensive part of the US for insurance!

Wow, I just tried the online quote for Ford Insure. Their "offer" more then doubled what I am getting with Progressive. Given I have many discounts with Progressive but that was a crazy number. The Mach-E only added about $90 a year over my LEAF.
