I also love wireless Carplay in the MME. I have a 2021 Telluride, and I've added a little $60 dongle that makes it wireless. It works reliably, but it's a little slow and clunky (and unsightly) compared to the native implementation of the MME.

Supposedly it's some licensing dispute between Hyundai, Google, and Apple regarding the behavior of the map button in the car (on cars equipped with factory navigation system), that each party wants their respective map to be displayed when the user presses the map button in the car. I bought a wireless adapter to get around it.

I think that's just an excuse, and it doesn't even make any sense. The Map button would work the same way whether CarPlay is wired or wireless. All the other vehicle manufacturers don't seem to be having any licensing issues.
