I just added a Mach E GT to my work fleet. Given employees will be driving the car, is there a way to neuter the car? The acceleration is impressive but unnecessary for my use case. I want to mitigate liability and turn off some features such a one pedal operation and blue cruise. Thanks.

Not anybody around here, but if I remember correctly, there are settings such as valet mode that give you some of what you’re looking for. I’m assuming you’ve already reached out to Ford on this?

Maybe opt for the slowest trim and work from there. I’ve never explored this in depth, but I’m sure it’s something that can be done. They do custom builds for cops and such if I’m not mistaken.

Just curious, why would you want to disable 1-pedal driving? I consider it a safety measure actually since there’s no discernible way to tell that the car has shifted from park/neutral once the shift has taken place and your hand has left the dial. Easy to forget that the car is on and let off the brake pedal to grab something in a parking lot due to lack of engine noise.

You can do some neutering by setting up a MyKey.

Why did you buy a GT just to neuter it?
The equipment we use required batteries the premium didn't offer. To achieve three same capabilities with a premium it would have required an additional auxiliary battery that you charge with 110.

I played with that and like some of the features but wanted to limit the acceleration, and disable any performance mode.

Scenario: My contractor drives his conventional company car to my shop and gets in my mach e to work for 8-10 hours (at night). In the early morning hours they get back in their company truck with 2 pedals to pay attention to. They're tired and driving home. They wind up rear ending the car in front of them because they let off the gas but didn't hit the brake.

Ah ok, so consistency between different vehicles. Had exactly the same concern when I first got mine, but after a little while, I decided to keep 1-pedal always on.

Your contractors must have a very smooth/well maintained truck! Most large ICE vehicles I’ve driven have a noticeable jerk which keeps me on my toes if I ever let off the brake pedal. The Mustang Mach E on the other hand is so smooth, I can barely tell it is moving and not in park if I let off the brake pedal. Hence I opted to keep 1-pedal always on. But I get the concern with other vehicles and needing to standardize between them.
