Ability Connection Colorado Mustang Lottery

While I am sure this is for a good cause, I doubt the winner will ever see a Mach E let alone a first edition. If there really is an FE then it could be used. Also they need to reach $100k in donation for the prize to be awarded.

I can understand the legal wording. Each year the local fire dept has a car on display ... it is donated to them to raise money. That car is the grand-price in a raffle. But it's "that" car ... no other. When they get the car it is in showroom-new condition. But it is outside on display in front of the fire dept. Suppose there's a hail-storm and the body is damaged. Who pays for the repair?

I think that's the point of the legal wording. You will most likely get a showroom-new car but they put the wording in there "just in case".

But the different thing about this raffle is the contingency that no prizes will be awarded unless they get $100k or more in donations. When I checked their page, they are still at around $67k. This suggests that someone is provisionally donating a car. They don't already have it. (also, their photo on the website is a Premium but the raffle says the prize is a First Edition and they don't even have a photo of the car ... just a token photo of "a" Mustang Mach-E ... not the one that the winner would get.)

The car is sitting in the showroom at Sill-Terhar Motors in Broomfield Colorado. Last March I was there and attempted to purchase it but was told no, it was for a charity.

Not sure I would want it since it was built almost a year ago!

Not sure you fully read the terms. If they do not raise $100K, the grand prize winner gets half the donations as a prize (unless the winner chooses to let the charity keep it). Remember it is a charity.
