Mach e select passager side seat manual adjustment problem

So while I’m sitting on the seat. The seat height can only to down. I have to lift my butt up to adjust it up. I’m not a big guy. Weight only 130lb. So is it just design like this or the seat height adjustment is broken. It’s a new 2022 mach e select I just bought few days back.

Yes it does have it. I think that is just how it works. When you sitting on the seat. The height is not gonna go up when you do adjustments. Just like office chairs you have to lift up your butt to to up when adjusting. Which is kinda sad design since my old Corolla seat can go up when I’m sitting on it

So it’s only able to go down when sitting on it. Not up just how the office chair height adjustment works.

I hope when there is off market power passenger seat so I can change it to that.

If that Corolla is a manual seat, then that's one hell of it spring it has. How do you lower it then if it rises up with your weight?

You can pull up or pull down the lever to go up and down.

My 2014 Ford Fiesta was exactly this way, though only the driver's seat had a height adjustment. It worked great.

Sounds like it's broken. I'm 20 lbs heavier and it'll go up when I'm in the seat and I pull the handle up. It moves slowly with each pull. Take it to a dealer.
