Sorry, I missed your post.Hey, Kam, I caught in another thread that you said you don’t have a problem with your 12 Pro Max not charging? Is that still the case? I’ve found with my 12 Pro I can have the car on in the garage, get it centered, it starts charging, and I haven’t MOVED and it will still disconnect after a minute or two. I ask only because I’m thinking of getting the 13 Pro and I’m trying to decide if the Max might truly help the wireless charging issue or not. Thanks!
Since, that time I think my 12 Pro Max has mostly charged but can be spotty on occasions. I’ve come home from 2 hours of driving with an iPhone roughly 60% charged.
One of the issues is, of course, the MagSafe feature. That does interfere a bit with the car’s Qi charger. Another issue is the fact that I’ve started getting a bit sloppy as to how I place it. If it’s not race up, no charging. If the lightning port isn’t towards the back of the car, no charging. It’s big and it does fit, but it’s not ideal. On this issue, I think Ford is in the clear. I’m personally certain the charging issue is a MagSafe concern for my model.
I’ve also tried doing wired charging. That works but it seems to cause issues with wireless CarPlay, so it’s not ideal. And usually I’m leaving at tge time I discover things like that and don’t have time to troubleshoot.
