Hi all,

Back in July I took my mach-e for the 2 year maintenance, and when I took back I noticed that the a plastic cover next to the washer fluid was missing.
I contacted the dealer and they offered me a new one.
A few weeks later, after returning from a long road trip, while cleaning the interior, I noticed that there's nothing covering the OBD connector and wiring on the driver's side and the same on the passenger side.
I reached out to the dealer again and after 2 months of me calling them and not getting an answer, I finally got the following response:

Dear Sir, we checked it with other new Mach-E's and in our parts system. The parts DOESN'T exist for this car. NOTHING is missing on your car. Best regards.
This was also confirmed to me by the technical manager over the phone.

I still cannot wrap my head around it.

Can you guys check this for me? and provide me with some pictures if possible.

Thanks!

Other than the little plastic cover under the hood(which should be there), your car looks just like mine.

I assume Ford saved some money not covering up somewhere that very few actually see. Unless you put your head nearly down on the floor board, you are not going to see the areas are not covered.

You didn’t list the trim level or year of your MME, but 2021 Premiums and GTs got a little panel above the fuse box cover on the passenger side. I can’t remember exactly when Ford discontinued that part but I think it was mid-2023, possibly with Job1 in 2023. 🤔🐩

So your headlight adjuster panel was indeed lost. There never was a panel above the pedals on the driver’s side. It is highly likely there never was a panel in your car’s passenger side. 😊🐩

Ok that's a relief to know that the dealership didn't lose my parts.
What raised my suspicions was that they spent two months telling me that they are looking for the parts and they are trying to order them, only to tell me that these parts are not standard.

My car is 2023 with Standard trim (Europe)

The part number for the passenger foot well is lj8z58046a25aa. I installed it on my 2023 and can't say it did much other than make it look a bit cleaner.

The car is already pretty quiet so my ears didn't notice it being any quieter with it installed.

You are only missing the headlight adjuster cover, the dealer is correct that the kick panel is not missing because it was never present on your vehicle.

Even back in 2021 the Standard or Select trims did not come with a panel in the passenger side footwell, so you’re good. 😁🐩
