Several times lately when plugging in my car at home, the car recognizes the address, but doesn't seem to recognize it as my "Home" charging location. In the charge logs on FordPass, it will show my address but not label it "home." Other times works fine.

End result is that it will attempt to charge to 100% if I don't catch it. Is there a way to set a global parameter to limit charging to 90%? Or a way to make it always know its at the defined location?

Search titles for "location". This has been encountered in the software before. Folks have discussed various solutions there.

There is no clear fix that I have found. I have "home" defined. Probably 60+% of the time, I plug in at home, and it doesn't recognize that I am AT home. Although, it also doesn't give me the option to add a new charging location. I live on a corner, and it does seem to detect two different addresses randomly. I plan to see if I can get it to recognize BOTH as home, but I would think there is some leeway into exact location.

This has just starting happening for me the past couple of weeks, possibly due to an OTA update. I still see the location set but for some reason it doesn't recognize it and limit the charge. Where you able to find a solution?

It would be nice if we could set the global default to 90%. If that is the recommended charge not sure why 100% isn’t an override vs default. That makes no sense.

I've had my MACH-E for three and a half weeks now. The first night I was able to charge at home overnight using the charge location feature. After that ... nada. I can only charge when set to "charge when plugged in". I've reached out to the Ford monitor on this forum and she connected me with a customer service rep. The rep sent me a PDF of the owner's manual which was no help since I've already read and re-read the charging instructions in the manual several times. I asked the rep for additional help and so far all I've heard are 'crickets chirping'. This has got to be a software bug. Any insight anyone may have as to a fix for this problem would be welcome.

A few weeks ago I noticed that the Navigation software that came with my MACH-E indicated that my HOME location actually had GPS coordinates about 21 miles west of my house (even though the street address was correct). I deleted the HOME location from the Navigation application and created a new HOME location with the correct GPS coordinates.

On September 14th I received a notice that my MACH-E had received a “Ford Power-Up Software Update”.

Ever since these two events I have been able to successfully use the “Charge Location” feature on the vehicle. It is difficult for me to determine which one of these two changes actually fixed the problem.

The map/GPS for my area is awful and has shown me driving in forests and water bodies in the past. I tried deleting my home charing location and recreating it and it seemed to fix the problem but intermittently charges to 100%. On other occasions I'll start the car and it will have an active route on maps going to nowhere for some reason. Think the issue is the maps software needs some improvement.
