EVSE provided with my 2021 MachE We will not keep up with my daily drive due to the Amber light Overheating issue

The dealership says they cannot replace it until it’s been properly tested as demanded by Ford.

The dealership tells me they can’t properly test it without a 240 V outlet.

We are currently at a Stand still.

Has anybody had the overheating EVSE issue that was successfully resolved?

It’s not acceptable that they weren’t able to test it because they didn’t have an outlet. Call Ford to complain, and try another EV certified dealer.

Complain to the dealership's GM. They are required to have the proper outlet to test it.

All of them seem to do it in this summer heat. I’d suggest an aftermarket unit if it’s a problem.

Update: I escalated the issue with Ford Customer Service. At first, they wanted to find me a dealer that will test it. I explained that I live in a Tesla town (Franklin, TN) and this is not a good image for them. They decided to send a replacement. Tested last night successfully.

In the meantime, I bought a Grizzl-E back in June, it failed last month. I called, sent in a form and they sent me a replacement, no…gotta test it because we don’t believe you…

Did the Grizzl-e overheat too? You might need to have your outlet checked for proper operation. I have a Grizzl-e and it only gets slightly warm at the plug.

The Grizzl-E faulted due to GFCI on two different outlets.

I looked up the serial number and it stated with that fault code that they recognize the electronics are ”too sensitive” for GCFI operation.
