Hi all,

I drove my Mach-E after about 2 weeks and noticed a rhythmic thumping noise from the rear side that could be the brake pad issue. I am including an mp3 file and would like your advice if this is indeed the issue. The rhythmic noise is from < 10 mph.
I am also including pictures of front and brake rotors. While the front rotors are nice and shiny, the rear ones are not.

appreciate the advice from the forum before taking it to the dealer.
thanks again

My car is finally fixed.

Brake pad material had gotten "stuck" to the rotor causing the thumping noise. Rear brake pads were replaced and rotors were machined.

My local dealership did an awesome job on service. They picked up and dropped off the vehicle and kept me informed on the status.

I am a bit bummed that brake pads can get stuck under slightly wet and cold weather. It was under warranty this time but what if it happens 2-3 years down the road?

Having the same issue with my one month old 2023.5. I hear a knocking noise when I accelerate from a complete stop and found scoring on the rear left rotor.

First post, been reading the forums the past few years, very helpful. Had same issue after parking the Mach e in my garage for 5 days during a rain storm on 2023 Premium RWD (part of break pad stuck to rotor, 18000 miles). Having to get new pads/rotors on rear. Filed a complaint with the NHTSA (888-327-4236) today, report number 11618538. Would encourage anyone who has experienced this issue to call the NHTSA and complain. If this eventually becomes a recall then you can get reimbursed if you’re unlucky (like me) and this happened beyond one year or 12000 miles. Ford should fix this regardless.

I am having the same issue. Now twice. Both times happened happen after a rain and parking the car overnight. First time at 5,800 miles and the second at 10,300 miles. The first time, the dealer replaced a bearing and axel (passenger rear side). The car is now at the dealer for the second time. Is your problem solved after replacing pads and rotors machined? Please contact me. I would like to exchange info ([email protected]). Thank you
