Obviously the tape was the test fitting. But it looks like it should be there from the manufacturer.

To be fair though, I’ve never heard of a car that can’t be washed, so it’s not like they’d go looking for a warning tag inside the car. The “you will be held liable” portion does seem kinda odd. I don’t think that’s enforceable.

my detailer told me today that they've literally put this sign on the steering wheel and they have still washed the car.
i have whole body ppf and quartz coating on my car as i've said itt. not cheap by any means.
the ppf is fine, but the coating can be stripped off and damaged by the brushes on a touch car wash.
luckily, the only damage done was basically soap scum which was able to removed by a hand wash.
going to try to have the dealer pay for the car wash from the detailer, who included on their invoice what the dealer fucked up.
