I didn't get to see it yesterday. But I have an appointment to see it on Friday. If it's still there... if not, well problem solved. I'll be leaving my proverbial check book at home.

Answers to some questions: Standard range. RWD. Used. Date on the tag says 9/22.

You'd also want to know how much capacity your service panel has to allow for EV charging. The panel will need to open adjacent spots because a 240 breaker takes up two slots. If your service or service panel has to be upgraded that can really drive up the price.
Question on power: I recently replaced both my hot water heaters with just one, leaving a 240 breaker open (but off for now of course). Well that help my installation? The breaker box is two feet from the garage.

Likely I'm going to keep on waiting. It's a good opportunity to explore a MME and drive an EV which I never have before, and get a feel if getting rid of Gas is what I want to do. I can keep shopping around... maybe the MME isn't the one for me. How does it compare to the new EV6 or ioniq? (rhetorical, but maybe that route is better?)

I don't recommend buying this car. You asked for our opinion - thats mine. Sorry, it's not what you want to hear.

Since you’re in no hurry, I think if the car is still there on Friday it’s a good chance to test drive one and see if it’s comfortable for you and if you like all of the anciliary stuff. It may or may not be the specific car for you but you can at least gauge whether you like the model overall. I test drove a completely different trim than what I reserved and eventually bought. 😊🐩

As for home charging... the cost usually has a lot to do with how difficult it is to run power from your service panel to your charging location. If, for example, you have a service panel located in or near your garage and you plan to install the home charger (EVSE) nearby, then costs will be pretty low.
Correct. Mine was close so it only cost me around $300 (less the 30% EVSE installation credit). You can charge from a traditional wall socket right away. It will just be slow AF.

If nothing else take it for a test drive. I've driven a Model 3 and a Polestar 2 as well. My preference lies with the MME but what I think doesn't really matter because I'm not buying the car for you 😁
