Demo cars are sold as new as they’ve not been registered. They’re eligible for any tax credits that are available to any other Mach-e. The new car warranty is adjusted to reflect the actual mileage of the demo car so you get a full warranty.

Whether it’s worth full MSRP is a question that only you can answer.
The car has already been titled actually. I’ve seen conflicting info on the forums about how this affects the tax credits. Some states seem to require dealerships to title their loaners, and Ford itself seems to have guidance out that a tax credit rebate may be available to consumers in those states, since consumers otherwise wouldn’t get the tax credit. Not sure whether the information you are offering is specific to your state.

On the warranty, the dealer said I would have the “remainder of the warranty,” and that the warranty clock started around the beginning of the year. Not good.

There's a good chance the $2,500 rebate will go away in July. That does make a dealer demo at sticker more appealing.

The buyer’s order lists the vin, the price, the sales tax, and all dealer and state fees. The deal was completely negotiated. It is signed by me and the dealer as of 5/27. Fine print: “Seller reserves the right to refuse delivery and cancel this contract on due notice to the purchaser.” Why are dealerships like this?
That term sucks, I would still raise a stink that they waited too long to tell you since it says ‘due notice’. This is definitely one of those situations where you are likely to get the most traction by being a very squeaky wheel, basically if you are OK with the FCTP car, might help knock off some of the MSRP from it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the dealer ‘accidentally’ messed up and registered the vehicle. They would after all be able to claim the federal tax credit for themselves.

I understand what is being said about how the dealer is not supposed to do this, but they have a pretty big financial incentive to do so here (unlike with an ICE FCTP vehicle), especially if there isn’t much of a chance that Ford corporate would find out about it or a big sanction on the dealer even if they did.
