Not bad.
Wish I could see the front.

Whatever Ford does, they need to put wider wheels/tires on the GT and GTPE.
There’s not enough rubber on the road for the power and torque, so they currently struggle to keep traction.
I know there would be a range hit for wider shoes, but the next generation should accomplish other efficiencies that should minimize that.

BTW, when Ford announced the Tesla Supercharger compatibility, they said we would use adapters until 2025 when NACS will be built in.
I get the feeling 2025 will either be a major refresh, or the total, Gen 2 redesign.
In the world of ICE vehicles, it would probably be a refresh. That said, Ford is losing so much on every Gen 1 BEV, if they are able to achieve the efficiencies and cost savings on the Gen 2 cars that they’ve been talking about, they may move to Gen 2 as absolutely soon as they can.
So, I’ll say 2025 will be Gen 2 time.
I would love to see the next Gen MME GTs get a wider rear stance from a body kit and wheels. Vehicle to Load and Vehicle to Home power would be awesome too. Of course the 5 second fun limit should be an ancient memory by then. I would like the option of a Solar PV roof. My car bakes in the sun most days. Would be awesome to run the HVAC off sun rays.

The frunk thread hijacking continues.
The original post:

"I’m curious to see what the rumor mill is pointing to for when the next Mach-E redesign would be. Wonder if Ford will keep the same design for 10 years (like Tesla) - probably unlikely.

If I had to guess…2026?

Any ideas or guesses?"

I don't think of it as hijacking at all. If they can't do it for all model years in this design then they should be able to do it in a re-design.

Wish list:
  1. Heat pump
  2. "Performance oriented" instrument panel (current one feels more like it's out of an upscale sedan than a muscle car)
  3. Heads-up display
  4. Matrix headlamps
  5. 2 dr bodystyle (I get that this is a stretch but I can dream... and with the new Charger EV adopting a coupe option I hope it puts a little pressure on Ford)
I don't even feel an overwhelming need to change the styling at this point. It's an attractive car. More range would be nice, but preferably in the form of a more efficient drivetrain than a bigger battery.

Ford has already said that the Mach-E refresh would be late 2026, so I assume that means a 2027 model year car. ?‍♂?
