No front illuminated pony while driving?

I have a 2022 GT non-PE and noticed while behind a shiny pickup truck that the front pony that illuminates when I start the car is not lit up.

DRLs are on as it's in the middle of the afternoon, but I assumed the pony was always lit up. Is this normal?

I have a 21 GT, and mine is on while driving, I see it on my camera all the time as I'm driving into the garage.

On GT / GTPE, your front Pony lights up when the headlights are on -- not just DRLs.
