That's perfectly fine. It's absolutely more compromising doing a long road trip in a BEV vs driving an ICE. More planning, limited charging, messy charging, longer time, more fear of things going wrong, etc. It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

We enjoy it, as it fits my "plan everything" style. And while we like our Bronco Sport as well (and drive it on some trips where charging is weak or time is short), the Mach-E is more enjoyable on the road (quieter, more bells&whistles, more fun to drive). We've put over 50,000 long road trip miles on it the last 4 years. But that's us. I totally get many others not wanting to deal with the compromises.
I love driving this car!! And if I wasn’t a cranky old dude I’d probably have fun on road trips like you.?. However, my wife has put her foot down. She’s had enough bad experiences that it’s not worth it. Not gonna even try to argue about that. Happy wife and all that…..

Have you looked where Tesla has put up chargers? I’ve been planning a road trip from Austin TX to Taos NM and therā€˜a a lot of places that ARBP has me stopping at in rural areas like Post, Plainview TX.
There's a new Supercharger site in south Lubbock opened last month or two. Hopefully you can stop at that one. It's in a busy area.

Saw that one and but looking at ABRP we charge in Post, skip Lubbock, and charge again in Plainview. We’re stopping overnight in Amarillo at a hotel that has level 2’s so hopefully we’ll be at 100% for the next day.
