The first time I drove the car home from the dealer I noticed that the road/tire noise seemed unusually loud. I initially thought this could be due to the Bridgestone tires fitted to the car. I have since rotated the tires and driven several hundred kilometers, but there has been no improvement. If anything, the noise seems to have become more noticeable.
Today I fitted the friction winter tires that came with the car, Nokian Hakkapeliitta, which are supposed to have relatively low road noise. However, there was still no difference.
The noise is a constant humming/droning sound that increases with vehicle speed. As far as I can tell, there is no noticeable change when cornering, accelerating, or braking.
This makes me suspect that the noise may be coming from the front drivetrain, such as a bearing, reduction gear, or another drivetrain component, rather than the tires. The sealing on left and right side were the driveshafts goes in are leaking. Going to be changed on warranty. They can’t hear the noise when they drive the car, really strange.
The constant noise is quite tiring and gives me a headache when driving the car.
Has anyone experienced the same thing?
