I recently purchased a new spoiler for my Mach-E direct from Ford during the recent promo period. To my dismay, what I received looks to be a pre-owned, damaged spoiler that was hastily touched up and repackaged.

I immediately contacted Ford's customer service to notify them and the response I got was basically "Sorry about your bad luck, but no takesie-backsies".

I'm not done fighting this and I really hope Ford comes through and makes this right.

If you bought from the Ford accessory site, the issue you're running into is that this part is marked "non-returnable". If they refuse to take it back, do a chargeback on your credit card.

I bought a bed mat for my Lightning, and had it delivered to dealership. It was poor quality, dealer agreed, so they reordered. The replacement wasn't much better. Ford Accessory site didn't care. Contact in Ford escalated it higher, no one cared.

I sold it and bought a different brand, breaking even.

I just filed a claim with my credit card company. I also sent Ford Customer Service a stern email requesting a refund, although I'm not expecting it to go anywhere.

I could have sworn the order was supposed to ship from my local dealer, but instead it came from a Ford dealership in New Jersey.

If I get my money back, I may just have a local body shop repair and repaint the spoiler. I suppose I could also try to resell it at a steep discount, but if the repair isn't too expensive, I'd rather keep it.

This is what CC dispute protection is about. Let them handle this shit if you've hit a brick wall. In my experience, document everything via email as proof that they've abandoned you without a response within a reasonable amount of time or them not giving you a replacement.

In my experience, an email with dispute is enough to get them to spring into action as fighting the dispute will cost more money to them then just working with you. In many cases, you just get the money back and the won't take back the item. In that case, enjoy a free spoiler with some minor cosmetic imperfections that can be easily touched up.
