Hi guys. I have been researching on the specs on the OEM charger that came with the Mustang Mach-E but to no success. Would you be able to tell me the basic specs on it please? I figured this forum would be helpful in this regard. Thanks in advance.

Others will be able to fill in more, all I can helpfully tell you is it is a 32A unit.

What other specs are you interested in?

It charges at 28-29 amps, 220-240 volts (Whatever your service is).

There seems to be an error in the operating temp range listed in their spec sheet... Ford's mobile charger takes a nap when it's 110 in my garage... There's no way it stays operational at 167.

This is way way higher than I've seen on any other EVSE's spec sheet.

It should probably say "storage temperature," not operational.

OK, digging a little deeper, I found the user manual. It disagrees with the tech sheet shown above (which are the same data that are embedded in the OEM version of the specs).

So who knows what's right, but the table in the manual is more reasonable. Still, I'd say they've done a subpar job with heat management in my personal experience with this product.

Does the maximum of 32A mean it should not be plugged in to anything larger than a 40A circuit?

No, non-adjustable EVSEs can be used on a service that exceeds their rating, the output amps will just be limited to the max., ie. 32 for the stock mobile device. The problem occurs when plugged in to less than 40A service, the EVSE will pull as much as it can to reach 32A and overload the CB.

A fresh link with the Webasto Go instructions, since the old one is dead: https://www.techwebasto.com/compone...er/webasto-go-user-guide-pn-5911743-a-01.html

240V single-phase outlet in Europe for context.

Was wondering if there is a way to manually force the charger to charge with a reduced rate. I know that for some Renault/Nissan you can stick a magnet and it will raise the speed from 8A to 16A. However, before I will exchange the outside 10A breaker with a 20A one, I would like to limit the rate of charging. Already ordered a replacement charger which is on the way, but, until that arrives, I would have to go to a difficult parking spot where I have a socket protected by a 16A fuse.
Perhaps there is an easy way to trigger the "hot socket" limit.

More unnecessary context: the house builder put a 10A MCB on one of the outside circuits since it was meant for garden lights only. However the wires can easily carry more than 20A and I have easy access to them. The more annoying thing is that due to the charging port location I have to wire up a new socket, but luckily there's already a conduit below the concrete slab.

Resurrecting a zombie thread. Is there a way to force the charger down to 24A 240V for use on a 30A circuit? My other L2 (a Grizzl-E) had internal DIP switches that let you choke down the maximum current draw. The online doc listed above looks like it does not have a way to throttle is back.
