When you place an order/reservation online, the dealership you select winds up actually placing the order. Does the dealership control the priority of the order thereafter or is that independently determined by FoMoCo?
I ask for two reasons.
1. I see tons of GTs and GTPEs in dealer inventory, but few Premium and Route 1 models.
2. I ordered my Premium early December and my best friend (whom I have decided to enviously hate for the moment) ordered a GT mid January and had a scheduled production date in April.
I get that the margins are better on the GT and GTPE and if FoMoCo is prioritizing these over trims, I understand it even if I dislike it. However, it's a shame if they are doing this because it is very damaging when a loyal customer feels like they are less valuable and their business is taken for granted.
If dealerships are gaming the system, FoMoCo should crack down on this crap because having some greedy weasel screwing customers over is going to piss people like me off.
