OTA 6.8 changed navigation instructions in instrument cluster?

I received 6.8.0 on Wednesday. Today, I notice that the instrument cluster no longer show the navigation instructions most of the time. It only shows them when I’m 0.3 miles or less to the next turn.

This change affects both CarPlay and built-in nav.

I know that many people dislike 6.8 because of speedometer placement. But I don’t think I saw discussions about navigation. Is this another known change to instrument cluster in 6.8?

Yes, this is another 6.8 change for earlier model years, or at least MY21 at any rate.

I wish it were configurable. I'd like to see the next nav direction for maybe a mile out. 0.3 miles is too short if I'm on the highway and will need to move over several lanes, and I don't usually want to keep Android Auto open on the main screen.

Did it get fixed with a new OTA or is this now standard behaviour? I just got 6.8.0 and I’m now having the same issue, it's kind of annoying..

No. This is now standard behavior.

I don’t like this change, but don’t hate enough to care strongly.

Yes, I had the same change in navigation instructions. But I see also that the the blue/red distance bar no longer shows most of the time and the speed limit sign appears when detected, then after a while the speed shows "- - -" and no more numbers (EU speed limit).
