Did you try to go into the app settings on Android to clear cache, force stop, clear data and all that for that app?

I had in pieces, but I since played with it some more and finally got it working. Had to do all that, including logging out/in. I though uninstalling would do a lot of that but apparently it leaves too much crap behind.
