While the two Mach-E’s in my household have been flawless, our neighbor Tim hasn’t been so lucky with his Ford. And like many here, he didn’t wait around for Ford when you can fix things yourself.

Looks like a cool guy this Tim fellow. The one with the Hands-Free driving video is hilarious. Glad to see that not everyone in the election ticket is not an insecure mess.

I now have a glimmer of hope for you folks down south.

Not all of us have concerning issues. Never had a HVBJB issue but took the car in earlier this month for the recall. Bluecruise 1.3 hasn't arrive yet but what I have works good enough for me on clear days and when traffic is free from construction zones and heavy traffic.
Just for the record I ? love this car (Job 1 2021) but the issues since October 2021 when purchased I can remember are:

Car would not "start" - Recovery came and disconnected and reconnected the 12v battery.
Could not pull charge cable out of socket as would not unlatch - Recovery came and unlatched the charge cable manually from inside the frunk.
An APIM update did not stick and caused error messages. - Took to dealer and they took 2 days to download the software manually.
Replacement windscreen and re-sealing of the glass roof under recall as not enough adhesive applied at the factory.
SOS light on all the time in overhead console. Back to dealer for software update.
Water leaks through the tailgate rear light clusters into the tailgate lid, water pouring out trim joins/buttons when raised. Back to dealer for replacement lights and another time for re-sealing the lights.
Passenger side headlight rubbing on bumper trim taking paint off. Back to the dealer.
Part of the trim in the liftgate detached itself when going over a moderate bump (Not pothole). Back to dealer for new trim.
Rust bubbles forming on right side rear passenger door at the bottom. Back to the dealer for treatment and re-painting.
Recall for HVJB but not back to dealer yet as part not in.
Rattle and squeak from interior of drivers door trim panel. Back to the dealer for new door trim panel.

One fault I haven't been back to the dealer for is squeaks from every door trim exterior seal except drivers door. This happens on any moderately bumpy road and I can replicate it by pressing on the exterior black trim of the door at the top with the doors closed. There is a slight movement, but the drivers door trim is rock solid. I've discreetly pressed the same bit on showroom cars and they don't squeak. I daren't take it in as there's no guarantee they'll be able to fix it. I tried silicone sealant to lubricate it, but made no difference.

All of this has been under warranty but this will end in the next couple of months.

This is the most I've ever paid for a brand new car as I treated myself (mid 60's) as a reward for hard work over the years.

I don't mind software updates so much as there will always be bugs that need fixing. (Worked in IT) - "Have you switched it off and on again"?

I'm hoping that IF I purchase another later Mach-E that the above issues won't exist. I will miss the kick to open liftgate though.

I absolutely cannot wait to get rid of this vehicle. There is ALWAYS a battery/tech issue. My car won’t install updated because the battery says low SOC. Called the dealership and there’s a 2 month wait to get it looked at. The end of this lease can’t happen fast enough
Then you should get something different but if you read ownership surveys that's par for owning an EV and it does not matter the brand. In fact Consumer Reports says the MME is the most reliable EV on the market.
