PAAK Connection Issue

I deleted the app after successfully installing the PAAK as it was buggy. Now I can’t reconnect; I get this error message yet an email from Ford saying it was successful. What am I doing wrong? Thx!!!

Maybe toggle your Bluetooth on and off or hard boot your device?

One thing I’ve noticed with mine, if I haven’t presence in my back pocket or I’ve got it like in a pouch behind my back I have to turn my backside towards the car to open it. I thought if it was just within range, it would do it, but it’s weird.

Ignore the email, it’s not an accurate representation of Paak being setup as there’s steps after that that have to happen.

Reset Paak in the vehicle under settings and try again.

Phone in my back pocket NEVER opens the door. Phone in front pocket everything works fine. My ass apparently is some sort of Faraday Cage.

Yep, are three years of successful PAAK the new app destroyed it. But I did get it working after 3 days of experimenting and hours on the phone with support. Here's how.

1. Unpair ALL Bluetooth devices and uninstall FordPass
2. If you have a smart watch pair it first
3. Install FordPass and setup PAAK


Setting up PAAK first seems intuitive but I learned the hard way that installing the watch AFTER PAAK causes PAAK to stop working.
