I guarantee all they did was check “System Updates” on the screen. Don’t expect the dealer to be proactive in applying TSBs.
11 updates are available. I don’t think they even hooked it up.

I see the parking brake issue above. Yesterday I was pulling out of a parking lot and got a ding with a message saying parking brake engaged. The car suddenly locked the rear then immediately released. I didn’t think much about it till now. I was going maybe 2 mph. I was going to wait for the windshield and pano recall letter to take it in. I guess I need to get it in sooner.

We had a hard time getting our dealer to program another FOB for us but yet they were willing to pay another dealer to do it instead! Lol

Ford just needs corporate owned service centers that make sure people are actually trained.

When I took Marlin in for the replacement of the second battery rail guard (from damage during delivery), Koons Ford Silver Spring ran the PaaK TSB for me. That was back in July and thanks to @DevSecOps checking my car, it appears they didn't update all the PaaK-related systems. When I go in for my 10,000 mile service and window/roof recall, I'll have them do a full module update.

Thank you Todd for doing my VIN check, which showed all the updates were loaded. I've had my Premium for 2 weeks now. It came with a lot of the latest features including BlueCruise, so I figured it might be up to date.

But while the PAAK issues may have been worse before the update, I've definitely not had a seamless experience with it, including getting the "Key not found" even after the car was started and not having the car recognize the phone when I approach and needing to press the door button to "wake" it.

Michael,

Maybe you misunderstood my DM. You have the updates available to be installed that fixed PaaK for me. I think you might have taken that as "you have them installed already".

I've had quite a few people ask for clarification from me when I say "you have those updates available". I think I need to come up with a better way of wording that.

Does your car have the power meter in the instrument cluster below the battery percentage? I’ve been trying to find somebody with a non-GT with the latest software to confirm, but none have answered. I’m really just trying to determine if that will be coming to all cars or is just a GT thing.

No power meter for me.

Yes, I misunderstood. Sorry for a newbie question, but if the updates are available to be installed, what has to happen for them to get installed?

I had the update to fix PAAK last July at the dealer. It took them about 1 hour and there was no charge. PAAK works perfectly now.

Either you convince a dealer, convince someone who has the required equipment, buy the required equipment or wait helplessly for OTAs

Bummer. I guess that means it may just be a GT thing. Maybe Ford thinks owners of other models don’t want to know when their car is using regen? Regardless, thanks for the answer.
That would be dumb :(

It costs them tech time to do it. If their tech is applying updates to your car, the tech isn’t fixing someone else’s car!
I get that but its like Apple saying there is a problem with your phone thats our fault. You can't fix it and we're not going to pay our people to fix it either. FORD wants to be a tech/data company. If they want to do that they have to provide provide proper tech support, not just mechanical support. Very few people are going to have the equipment and skills to perform this fix themselves.
