PAAK never worked...

I had my 2025 MME Premium delivered to my house on 7/23, as I had purchased it out of state. The sales guy came, and after I finished the paperwork, he tried to get my phone connected to Ford Pass, but was unable to. I told him I'd take care of it. After trying multiple times, including researching online and trying several suggested fixes, I could never connect my phone to use as a key. Android auto worked fine. I contacted the local Ford dealership, and setup an appointment on 7/30. They spent the first few days tracing wiring, as they thought that was the problem. I got this update on 8/19:

"We are waiting on engineers to give us the approval to replace the telecomatics control unit TCU. We found the issue when the module is held vertically it works the moment we lay it on its side it does not work so it hass to be internal to module because all wiring is good. because it wont give us the failed code we have to have ford approve it before we can order and replace it. "

It's been frustrating to have driven the vehicle one week, and then it be in the shop for a month. I really hope they can resolve the issue soon, as I LOVE that vehicle. They have me in a '25 Explorer loaner, which is nice, but it doesn't hold a candle to my MME.

I couldn't do it.

I mean I couldn't let them hold my brand new Mach-E for a month just to get PAAK. That'd be ME letting THEM steal my honeymoon period with the car.

PAAK is just gonna have to wait.
And they don't have to keep the car while waiting for......... Well, whatever they are waiting for.

I hope you go get your brand new Mach-E and use a FOB during the honeymoon.
