PAAK: SSM 50815 "various dtc in the rfa module"

Ford sent me to the dealer for this, has anyone else encountered it? I see in this forum "various dtc in the rfa module" with ssm-50845 but not with 50815. Sounds like "flush the memory" sort of problem? (I really don't think i mis-typed it).
The problem i'm trying to cure is of being unable to create a backup start passcode because the car cannot see the PAAK during this process. The PAAK otherwise works fine most of the time but i can't trust it without a backup passcode given the intermittent problems.

I can't create a backup passcode either. Also, my phone shows PAAK connected but I can't start the car with PAAK.​

Dealer appointment on Tuesday for software updates. If the updates were working this would have been fixed.
Dealer appointments in the Boston area are given several months later.

Update: Customer "satisfaction" 22B48 and 23B50, followed by a factory reset, solved the problem, I could now create a backup code.
