dealer today said $350 2 year maintenance and $200 window etching i laughedI just put a deposit down for a Mach E GT from a cancelled order and live in one of the NE states. Will be delivered next month. No ADM. Albeit it's a 2021 model with production date 12/2021. Seeing that it already took three months to deliver a vehicle, the scary part about now is that the federal tax credits will likely start phasing out either in Q3 or Q4 of this year. Since some of the 2022 models just sold out on the website, it is likely that it may be even delivered next year. It relieves a lot of stress given the shortage (which will probably be exacerbated given the current energy crisis.)
I also ordered a Mach E Premium ER AWD two weeks ago, and was already told dealer had to call Ford to see if I were getting a 2022 or 2023. They also gave me a NE regional discount of $2k.
I had to search around to find a Mach E which wasn't getting an ADM. (Most of the new models nearby dealers had in stock were charging $10k ADMs, but I was able to find one that wasn't 20 miles away.) Given Russia's sanctions, increasing energy costs, increasing interest rates this year and the phase out of the fed tax credits, it is most likely that I will be overpaying if I got the car later this year. Good thing it was a 2021, because they were cheaper MSRP than the 2022 models, so the NE regional discount didn't do much for me.
In this case, patience may not be a virtue. Getting $3k off MSRP and waiting 10 months is probably not even worth it if you can get MSRP now and if you're financing and/or trading in your old vehicle (while trade in values are still high now, or even risking losing some of the federal tax credit.)
That being said, I would still not pay for an ADM, and search around some dealers who would not charge an ADM from a cancelled order.
