New owner here….been lurking on the forums for a while, finally decided to register. Just wanted to share some pics of my wheels after I got them powder coated. I frankly could not stand the flower pedal looking wheels, so I decided to powder coat them all gloss black to help subdue the look. I personally think it looks a lot less obvious, now just looks like a fairly standard looking 5 spoke wheel.
sorry car was really dirty when I took the shots.

Does look better. But then I’ve also gone all black on my whole car. Not sure I would like the all black wheel on a cyber orange or grabber blue MME.

Thanks for posting the pics. I was thinking about doing this also. If you get a chance, can you post a few more pictures?

Hmm, I’m not a huge fan of the GT wheels but I think they may look better stock than powder coated.

I would go with aftermarket wheels if you really want to get rid of the flower.

Actually, I like the GT wheels. When I first saw them, I hated them. But gradually they grew on me and now I really, really like them. And now that I have the car, they look really good in person.

I have been considering making the silver part darker, probably not black like the OP did, but I am interested in seeing more pictures of how his came out. In the end I will probably just keep the wheel stock.

I think those will make great winter wheels for your snow tires.

I think it looks great. I purchased the vinyl stickers to chrome delete my wheels and they don't look great. May I ask approximately how much this would cost?

This makes me wonder what the wheels would look like powder coated red

I recall that somebody on the forum finished the machined parts of their GT wheels in a dark charcoal. They were subtle but that made them look cool. ??
