So I enabled the power meter months ago and it worked great.

This last round of FDRS updates I did seem to have broken it. While the updates were being applied all sorts of errors were thrown by the car, normal for FDRS updates. One of those updates seems to have lit up all the jail bars.

In its current state it only shows the green bar during regen but never shows the blue bar during use.

Should I undo the change using Forscan?

Should I use Forscan to force the IPC to reboot?

I have exactly the same problem after doing the latest FDRS updates. I used FORSCAN to turn off the power meter, then turn it back on but no joy. I did not try the reboot but probably should.

The updates were for PCM, SOBDMC, SOBDM, BECM, BCM and DSM. I have no idea which individual update caused the problem.

A pain.

I am thinking it was the BECM. That one threw a temporary service vehicle now message during the programming for me.

Any resolution on this? I just applied the latest round of updates and have the same issue.

A sad +1 in the same situation.

Had my HVBJB replaced at the dealership yesterday under the 23S56 recall program. They updated my powertrain software as part of that, and when I got the car back today my FORScan enabled power bar has also now become a re-gen only bar.

Shame as I really liked it the way it was before.

Does this apply only to people who have forced updates using FORSCAN, or has this happened to other people with the regular OTA updates?

I wonder if the bar would be broken still if the Power Meter was disabled prior to the updates?

Also, what are the chances that ford intentionally broke it for non-GTs?

This happened to me after a round of FDRS updates including all the modules listed above. I think that’s what you’re referring to, rather than FORScan.

Whether it’s intentional or not who knows (personally I doubt it - Ford has other things to worry about), but I will likely end up disabling the GT power meter until/if a fix is found.

Recently had my 12-volt battery replaced and the software recall relating to low 12-volt batteries applied, and now my hacked power meter looks like what others have described and posted too. One year after the last post, just wanted to message out and see if there's a fix. I use mine primarily to monitor when regenerative braking is active and how much it's applying, so I'll keep it enabled, but it's a bit of an eyesore now.
