I left my car in a parking lot for 2 days. When I returned, there was a nail in one of the tires and it was completely flat. It must have happened not too long before I had left the car, otherwise I would have gotten a notification that the tire pressure was low. When I returned to the car, I drove it on the flat to the gas station and filled it up with air. Then, proceeded to drive it to a charging station 2 kms away, where the Powertrain Malfunction notification appeared. Given the vehicle was still running properly, I drove it home, 3 hours away with no issues, and no reduced power. The next day, I filled the tire up enough to get it to the tire shop, and the "wrench" symbol was still appearing on the car, but again, no reduced power. I am wondering if the flat tire had anything to do with the warning? The Ford dealer is telling me to drop it off for diagnostics which is going to cost me $300 and they cannot guarantee it will be covered under warranty without running it. Has anyone else had this problem? What is the likely problem?
