so iv been doing some small testing, we typically keep our garage at 10-15 deg Celsius, 50 ish Fahrenheit, i found that before my road trips if i turned the garage up to 21-22 (71 Fahrenheit) deg the day before, my battery wouldn't have to self heat for a long time. it makes sense, even if you pre condition it threw the app, it only starts 10-15 min before you leave, by heating the garage that temp is getting soaked into that battery, and im 100% posative im leaving with a 20deg celcius battery, not starting at a lower 10. any thoughts?

Yes, but you're probably paying more money to keep your entire garage heated all the way up to 21ºC than the electricity from an extra few minutes it takes to warm up the cabin/battery.

I leave my garage at about 4ºC in the winter to keep the bill down. Car can heat up the rest of the way. If the battery is a little bit cold that's not a big deal, it will keep warming up as you drive it.

I can't speak to what the car does when warming the battery/cabin, but I can tell you that it will start 30 minutes prior to departure to cool it off out here in the desert.
