Pro Tip: Mirror Settings

I don't have that problem, but as long as you are giving instructions.

Voice commands work everywhere except USB sticks.

"SYNC is preparing voice commands, please wait."


It's been preparing for over a week. I ask to "Play, Black Friday" and I get the SYNC is preparing...

I ask to listen to BBKing Blues and it tunes to that, I ask to Set Temp to 74º and it sets that, I ask to Navigate to Mars and up pops navigation.

But if I ask to play a song on my USB stick, it gives the SYNC is preparing...


I don't/didn't see the "rebuild index" or whatever that was, so I didn't try that, I did try different USB sticks, in both A and C.

Hi Owners – We wanted to let you know that if your side door mirrors aren’t closing when you go to lock your car, here is a helpful tip:

1. Go to your SYNC screen
2. Navigate to Settings
3. Select Vehicle
4. Go to Mirrors
5. You'll find an Auto-Fold toggle option – make sure it is toggled to ON

Once you toggle the option ON that should help get those mirrors closed once your car is locked. Remember, always double-check your settings if you encounter any problems to ensure they align with your preferences.

Thanks for this post. It solved a problem my wife has been having with the second key. My key folds the mirrors when locking the car. Her key didn’t. It appears that this is an option for each key.
