I’ve seen several posts about broken radiator grille pieces, often caused by birds or stones during road trips. This got me thinking about the potential damage happening while the vents are open, especially when hitting debris like rocks. I’ve even heard of cases where rocks went through the vents and punctured the radiator at high speeds, leading to costly replacements.
I haven’t seen much discussion on the forums about this issue, so I wanted to share something I found on the F150 Lightning EV website. It might help spark some conversation and solutions. With many of you having 3D printers, this could even be a niche opportunity for those who can create custom solutions for the Mach-E community.
additionally, if anybody else has been thinking about this, Here’s a possible DIY solution.
