Radio Question

While I wait, I have aquestion maybe someone can answer.
Can you shut the radio off or does it have to be on?
My wife and I just got a 22 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and when you start the car the radio come on if you press mute the radio come back on after an alert. It semes like everything is run in the Jeep's radio.
Sometimes just want piece and quiet....Not to sound old.

You can shut off the radio. Tap the little circle of glass that's in the middle of the volume knob/donut.

I think I'll call it the donut hole from now on. ?

Yes, you can turn the radio off. The power off switch is in the middle of the volume knob.

If you use the on/off switch in the middle of the volume knob the radio will stay off until you turn it back on. You can have peace and quiet. ??
