No. It is not. It's not true for ICE vehicles nor is it true for EVs. Whether the EPA number is mpgs or miles, it is an estimate based on very controlled driving conditions.
Just like an ICE vehicle, your actual number depends on numerous driving conditions, e.g. speed, acceleration, traffic, grades, weather, etc.
The Range indicator can only base its numbers on how you've driven and what conditions you've encountered in the past and it will use that and other immediate information, such as temperature, to come up with an estimate prediction.
