Rear Ended Today :(

Toyota Camry decided to suddenly stop in the middle of the road. I was able to stop in time but the truck behind me couldn't. Luckily, truck driver and I were both fine but ughhhh...so annoyed I now have to deal with this.

This is my first accident in 20 years of driving. I imagine it's going to be in the shop for a bit, but fortunately it's fully drive-able until then.

I was rear ended about 9 months ago. Since your car is drivable, wait until they have all of the parts in hand. That was supposed to have been the case for me, but it still took 7 weeks for an initial part.

I feel your pain. I was rear ended yesterday, same side but lower. Driver took off, I didn't get any information other than make/model/color, they were long gone before I could get a hold of the cops.

Looks like it's mostly your right rear quarter panel and the bottom panel on the hatch, hopefully nothing structural

Not that serious of a hit. Need to replace lights, bumper, quarter panel. I hope not the liftgate. Seems like the liftgate only requires some paint work and not full replacement. Parts availability will be a huge issue.

Mine was rear ended too. Way worse. Replaced liftgate, bumper, quarter panel and some interior components. end up costing $10K. Waited 3.5 Months. 2 month on liftgate, another 1 month on the interior parts after tear down. 2 weeks actual repair. Currently working on the diminished value claim with the 3rd party insurance.

Hoping the liftgate won't need replacing but we'll see. Quarter panel and bumper for sure. I think the side panel is okay but there are some scuffs on it above the broken glass. The fender also popped out but I was able to snap it back in so I think it's okay.

When did your accident happen? I'm hoping the supply chain has improved a bit...

Update: Took it into the body shop today and they submitted for the parts, which will arrive by Friday. Repair to start tentatively on Monday and they're estimating it'll take 5 days.

Pleasantly surprised by how quickly the parts will arrive!
