Recalls on european Mach-e

Hi

I have just bought a GTPE with 7.000 km on the ODO. When I look in ford connect and on fordserviceinfo.com there are 3 recalls on my car, going through them they are all related to cars from the mexican plant, mine is supposed to be from the german plant. I write suppose to be, because my build date is April 4, 2022 and according to the info I can find online Ford did not start Mach-e production in Germany before June 2022.

My dealer says he can see the recalls on my car, but he has no clue about if my car really is included in the recalls. Ford in Denmark also don’t have a clue!

I was hoping that someone in this forum could help me out, I can’t be the only one in this situation

your VIN should indicate where the car is made

Where is this German plant? I was under the impression that all Mach-E's (except Chinese) were made in the plant in Mexico.

This has come up before and I'm trying to figure out why people think any Mach-Es were made in Germany. Where is this coming from?

If the website lists a Field Service Action, recall, or Customer Satisfaction Program when you put your VIN in.....then it applies to your car regardless of where you think it was made. It's based on the VIN.

It's made in Mexico but looks like it's made in Germany according to the VIN. I think they all are made in Mexico, except for the ones in China, which are made in China.

If the 11th digit of the VIN is an “M” the car was manufactured in the Cuautitlan Mexico plant. That’s the digit that tells you where it was manufactured. ??

I guess I have to schedule a recall appointment, so weird that the label says Germany when its really build in Mexico.

As far as I know, the mention of Ford-Werke GmbH on that Sticker is only for the sake of showing the legal responsibility for the import. It's the same with imported foods that are clearly not made in Germany, yet they usually show a European/German import company on the label.
