Received HVJB Replacement Booking Letter From Ford Today

Car went in for this earlier in the week. Took a couple of days as apparently it's a specialist repair (I wonder if Ford are sending in their own people to dealers?) but car got back fine, and had even been valeted.

My local Ford garage phoned me back today and booked my Mach-E in for the recall on 15 July. They say it'll take 2 days.

Fordrental organising a like for like, apparently Enterprise handle their courtesy car provision.

Booked for 2 days but likely to stretch to 3 as I’m having ‘Stangy’s 3rd service done at same time with just about 91,000 miles on the clock, will have transmission fluid changed whilst in and have sample of new & old oil analysed to see what, if anything’s wearing in there.

My Mach-E has just been done. I dropped it off at 0800 yesterday, it was ready to be picked up at 1230 today.

One of the things I like about having an EV is that every time I take it to the garage, it comes back fully charged. I don't remember any garage topping up my car with petrol when I had a petrol car.

You're lucky. My dealer has never charged the car despite the umpteen recall and service visits. It's not as though it would cost them much as the dealership roof is covered in solar panels.

HVJB replacement booked in for 2 days next month. Will be Mach-E rental car. Will be interesting to compare on any differences in ride and general build quality compared to my Job 1 2021 car.
