The family and I decided to make a road trip to Reno for a few days. We just got back. This is my first long trip with my Mach-E and here are my observations:
- It's a very comfortable ride for a long trip. No issues on comfort, size, driving, or charging.
- If you stay at the Peppermill, like we did, you'll find L2 chargers on the 4th floor of the garage. They are free of charge and the electricity is free too. I didn't have a problem getting ICE'd, but I noticed several locals dropping off their plugins and picking them back up later, so the stations are busy during the day, but open at night.
- I posted a thread about a navigation software bug regarding waypoints a few minutes ago. Basically the distance to destination freezes when you add a waypoint to your current route. I couldn't get this to resolve with a reset. Not a huge issue, but annoying when you want to add a rest stop or restaurant to your trip.
- The range going to and from Reno were extremely under estimated by the computer. I got 30 miles more than expected going to Reno from Sacramento. And on the way back I got 50 miles more than expected. I was able to get 3.9 kw/hr round trip according to the trip computer. Goggle says that Reno is about 5000ft. higher than Sacramento.
