My restraint warning lamp keeps coming on and then disappearing and the technician doesn’t know why.

Has anyone have this issue and have it successfully fixed? If so, what was the issue?

I read somewhere that it could be a pinched cord under one of the seats causing this problem but wanting to see if anyone else’s mechanic to successfully fix thi

The technician should be able to read the codes stored in the vehicle and find out why.

I'm getting it sporadically, too. She's driving. I'm in the passenger seat. Both buckled up. We drive off, and the light says unrestrained. It seems to do it when I buckled up after she's started the car, and it eventually goes off.

Just had this resolved. Was receiving alternating warnings for the driver's and rear safety belts. Scan resulted in code b0050.13. The RCM was removed, tested and reinstalled. Drivers safety belt buckle replaced. Codes were cleared and an Update was installed.
Apparently the update cleared this issue and the intermittent outage of Adaptive and Blue Cruise

Same thing going on with me. Yesterday it came on at 60 mph, and disconnected the cruise control while in traffic. One pedal drive immediately applied braking; really spooked the guy behind me. Already been to the dealer with it. Guess I’ll be going back.

Codes cleared, updates done, and a new drivers side belt mechanism installed. Seems fine now. Dealer was very responsive- perhaps because I shared this thread with him. I suspect there is also some sort of TSB out on it. Interesting, since I think this fault isn’t limited to the Mach e. Only problem I’ve had in 32,000 miles.
