Alert detail - Restraints Indicator Lamp Warning

I do know this: When I have back seat passengers, and they get out of the car, the display shows I still have backseat passengers without seatbelts buckled. I had my car in today for a power window problem - I should have had them look at this as well.

They all do that. You can hit the OK button and the warning will be dismissed.

This was fixed by the dealer. They replaced the wiring to the passenger airbag.

I had the same error code that was intermittent and now it comes on every time I start the car. Dealer says Ford knows about it and is working on a software fix tied to communication issues on the passenger airbag and several other modules. Who knows how long it will be before they have a solution. In the mean time no one can ride in the passenger seat as I believe the airbag won’t work.

My wife's car does this, but only when my son borrows it. It never does it when she's driving, and it hasn't yet done it when he's borrowed my car (though he borrows hers much more frequently).

It's literally gotten to be a point of humor for us: we can tell when he's started to drive the car from wherever he is because we get this in FordPass.
