Reverse brake assist not available

Every time we put it in reverse the error message pops up "Reverse brake assist not available".
Probably coincidence but it started after the 60k service which was basically tire rotation and inspection,
The dealership said they did nothing that would have caused this.

Any thoughts about this are appreciated!

Have you checked the camera back there for cleanliness? Does the video on the screen look OK. Are the sensors in the rear bumper where they belong? Have you tried a sync reboot or a hard reboot by disconnecting the 12V battery?
I get this a lot, but usually when the back of the car is covered in snow and slush.

Camera lense is clean.
Video of but all is the backup camera is good.
No apparent issues with the rear bumper sensors.
No synch reboot or hard reboot yet.

How do you do a synch reboot?

How involved is access to the 12v battery?
Looks like removing the frunk liner is required.

Looks like removing the frunk liner is required.

You can reboot the sync system by holding the volume down and right seek buttons on the steering wheel for 10 seconds.

To access the 12v battery you just need to take off the top cover between the frunk and the windshield. Just takes a 10mm socket to remove the neg battery terminal connection. Takes longer to wait the 10-20 minutes while the battery is disconnected then it does to do everything else.

I have that turned off in settings so I see that message every time I put it in reverse. I back into my garage and if I do it too quickly it may jam on the brakes, so I turned it off.

I’ve been experiencing this issue for months now. Interestingly, sometimes, the problem seems to resolve itself when it rains.

I’ve been experiencing this issue for months now. Interestingly, sometimes, the problem seems to resolve itself when it rains.

Interestingly it quit displaying the message for a couple of days that were wet but now it's back and it is still raining, it is Washington state so rain is frequent.
