Hey Guys, I'm traveling between Eureka and Redding, CA this weekend on the 299. Has anyone made this trip before and tell me if I can make it there and back with 90%-100% (200mi - 230mi). I would of course charge again before I make the trip back. I did not see any reliable places along the way on PlugShare.

The trip is about 150miles with an elevation peak between the two of about 3200ft. Temperatures will be in the mid 40s and I won't have an opportunity to precondition. I plan to use the seat heaters rather than cabin heating.

You can run the route through A Better Route Planner and see what it comes up with. Put in the temperature and wind.

If you have (or can borrow) a NACS adapter, there is an 8-stall Supercharger that is open to non-Tesla charging at Weaverville. Aside from that, pickings are pretty slim. I haven't driven the route myself - just looked in Plugshare.

Yes, I thought about that, but my adapter hasn't come in yet from Ford and I don't know anyone I can borrow from.

Bummer. I don't have mine yet, either. You could try starting another thread to find out if anyone near you will loan you theirs. Not sure if you'll have any luck. Too bad they're not ubiquitous yet and take over a month to get even if you're willing to pay for the A2Z one.

We recently went to Eureka in my wife's ICE car and I think there were couple of fast chargers in Eureka itself. There were also some L2 chargers there, but that's a torture (unless you are going to leave your car there overnight and walk to a hotel).

I saw that too. I was able to find someone kind enough to lend me their NACS adapter, so I will be good now!
