Hi everyone, my first post here.

I’ve been following the threads for a while now and have also been looking on Amazon as well, but I haven’t found any seat covers made specifically for the GT, let alone the GT Performance. Well, the front seats, that is.

As you can see from the images attached, the rear bench seats are not a problem at all, as those are identical across every trim. The front seats, however, are radically different when we get to the GT and GT Performance. Every other trim below these (Select, Premium and California Route 1) have identical seats. GT upwards is where things start changing in terms of the front seats.

I’m specifically looking for something that fits the GT seats, something that is waterproof and easy to clean, as I live in an area where it gets very hot and humid. Since the GT I have does not come with cooled seats, I’d like to minimize any chance of sweat buildup on the cloth portions of the seats. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I suspect the GT seats are close enough to the other (non-GTPE) seats to allow covers to be use with either. If I wanted seat covers that's what I would try.

That’s what I thought at first as well, but looking at the pictures, it seems like the GT seats are thicker, wider and more squarish in shape than the non GT models. To me, it looks like the form fitting seat covers for the non GT models won’t fit very well - at least not without some tearing on installation or use.

Talk to the folks at Wet Okole and see if they have GT seat covers.

I checked their website, and don’t see a single option for any Mach E models? Am I missing something?
Sort of.

You need to select Mustang then go through their selection process. At the end you select variant and Mach-e. That indicates to me they don’t have a GT-PE variant but I’d give them a call or drop an email and find out. If they don’t, and if you’re located in SoCal, you may be able to take your car in for measuring and then everyone will have a GT option.

Good luck in the search and keep us posted on the final outcome.

Thanks for this, I checked the options again, and see options for Mach 1, not Mach E. It looks like they don’t have it. I’d bring my vehicle in for measurements, but I’m at the opposite end, so would be a very long drive.

I did find one manufacturer that does make waterproof seat covers for the Mach E GT, but it appears to be offered only in plain black as it’s for law enforcement. It’s by TigerTough. Really like the durability though, seems very solid.

I have a question now. I noticed that the seat covers by Wet Okole are made of neosupreme material, which I guess is similar to the seat covers offered by Ford. Ford says their seat covers are not compatible with heated seats. Would the same be true for any other seat covers made of similar material?

Also, what is the material like? Is it like nylon?

Thanks once again!

Sharing my solution, if you don't mind the large mustang cobra decal, I found these plush towel like seat covers for the front seats from amazon, they are made of a plush velvet material that is very comfy to sit on and keeps my seats clean and protected. It feels high quality for the price, See link here - Amazon.com: Seat Armour SA100COBB Black 'Ford Mustang Cobra' Seat Protector Towel : Automotive

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Appreciate it much.

For people still following, IceLeather was a perfect fit for the GT trim.

Iceleather Car Seat Covers for Ford Mustang Mach-E 2021-2023,Waterproof Soft Breathable PU Leather Seat Cover with Storage Pockets(Black&Orange,Full Set) https://a.co/d/hNBeuBe

Only problem is, the colors look nothing like the images depicted (at least the orange one I got didn’t). Couldn’t find a color that would compliment the copper trim in the interior, so went with these instead:

OASIS AUTO Car Seat Covers... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BD634TZB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Color went unexpectedly well with GT interior, though it does send the copper trim to the background now (really digged the look of the copper at the dealer, now I barely notice it with these covers).

Unfortunately nothing specific for the GTPE, but perhaps some generic sport seat covers might fit, otherwise something like what was suggested above might work.

Hope my post was helpful to those looking to protect their cloth GT/GTPE seats.

Sorry, I'm unclear if you have a GT or a GTPE.

I have a GTPE and would love to find some car covers (rescued a dog from the side of the road the other day and he messed up my front seat... Grrr).

Has anyone found good looking covers for the GTPE?

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your seats. I’ve a GT, and it took me several returns and purchases to find something that not only looked good for my vehicle’s interior, but also provided adequate protection for the non-PE front seats in my vehicle (the front seats in the GT are just different enough to prevent covers for seats from lower trim from fitting properly). FWIW, the set I use now (mentioned in my previous post) isn’t even made specifically for the Mustang Mach E in general, let alone my GT. It’s literally just a generic set of seat cover for SUVs that somehow manages to fit and protect my GT front seats quite nicely. I really like the set I have now, in fact, it’s very comfortable and the front seats looks great, though I will say that the covers for the rear seats do leave a bit to be desired in terms of coverage and overall fitment.

The rear seats for the Mustang Mach E are identical across all trim levels as far as shape is concerned, only the stitching pattern/materials used are different, so theoretically I could get another full set from a lower trim and just adapt the rear seat covers from those for a more perfect rear seat fit, but I’m not too keen on spending another $150-$300 just to satisfy that concern. Maybe if there’s a discount I might, but it’s not a priority right now.

As for your GTPE, I’d suggest leaving out your vehicle name/make/model year as I did when searching for seat covers online, as there really isn’t much made specifically for the sportier-designed front seats in either the GT or the GTPE, despite the fact that these two distinct trims have been out for more than three years now. Most of the seat covers sold online come from China and other markets, where the only seat options on even the highest Mustang Mach E trims are the standard seats found in the lower US trims - hence the difficulty in finding something decent for our GTs and GTPEs. So forget about searching for seat covers specifically made for the GT or GTPE - instead, search online for “sport seat covers”, and pick something generic (i.e. NOT something that’s advertised to fit one specific vehicle, such as a Toyota Supra). Once you’ve found a generic set that somewhat resembles what you have for your GTPE’s front seats - racing harness slots, molded headrest and all - take advantage of whatever return policy your merchant offers to try a couple sets from different designs and brands. Hopefully you’ll quickly figure out what works and what doesn’t.

Alternatively, if you are familiar with other sports cars and can think of a few whose front seats closely resemble the front seats of your GTPE, you could search for seat covers made specifically for that vehicle’s seats and see if you come across anything you like. Once you find something you like, place an order and try em out. You might just strike gold and find something that not only looks great, but also just happens to perfectly fit the front seats of your GTPE, even though compatibility with your GTPE isn’t mentioned at all due to those seat covers having been designed with completely different vehicle in mind.

If you don’t mind covering up the sporty racing harness slots in your front seats and are simply looking for something that offers the most protection, another option is to try a few seat covers that have a zippered top section for the headrest to set into (such as what I currently have). With a zippered top section that stretches nearly the entire width of the seat cover, you should be able to slide the seat cover over your seats from the top down. This will leave the mounted headrest section exposed as it sticks out through the zippered detachable headrest portion. Then, if you prefer, you could cover the exposed headrest portion by sliding the separate detachable headrest cover on top of that. It should look good enough, though it is worth mentioning that this option might totally transform the look of your seats from its original race-oriented design into something more luxury-focused.

If you’re not too picky about the seating materials (like I am) and can work with cloth, canvas material or neoprene (I prefer leatherette, so didn’t go this route), there are plenty of options online that come with stretchy fabric edges that contour the cover to the shape and design of your seats once you slide it on and sit in it. Some fit perfectly, others are more loose, however, so you’ll still have to try a few to see what works and what doesn’t.

Lastly, If you are in the US, you could also try contacting some US-based custom seat cover manufacturers (such as TigerTough) and find out if they have any options for your GTPE’s front seats. Some might be willing to custom design something specifically for your vehicle if you ask them. Or you could even spend a grand or three to gut the whole seat itself for something different (like what’s offered through American Muscle), though this may mean you give up certain functions like touch screen activation of the heated seats (never done this myself, so not sure how it works).

Hope this helps!
