Sinister Bronze wheels staggered set-up

The best thing I did for my ‘21 Mache E was do a staggered set up. Figuring out the measurements was the most I’ve used a calculator since college. That was 3 yrs ago and I’ve since forgotten what I learned Hoping I can get some help here.

Looking at the GTP eruption green with bronze package which comes with the 20” Sinister Bronze wheels. Can I do a staggered tire set up with the same tires as I used on my ‘21? I don’t know the Siwidth and I’m not sure of the width requirements. Below is my current wheel set up. Can I put these same tires on the 20” Sinister Bronze wheels?


Front tire: 255/45/r20
Front wheel: 20x9.5

Rear tire: 295/40/r20
Rear wheel: 20x10.5

If you are referring to the factory wheels, the 255s are the widest tire you can fit on them, as the GT-PE (GTP is a Pontiac trim level) comes with 8” width wheels. ??

Ha! GTPE (not the Pontiac GTP). Yes I was referring to the wheels that come with the optional Bronze Package. That’s unfortunate. Sounds like my only option would be to buy an aftermarket wheel. ?

The wheels are Ford’s design and they probably either have their own foundry or a contract manufacturer that makes them for them. No clue as to who makes them though. If you are in love with the design, maybe you can get a custom wheel builder to make something like it. ?‍?

The design is great but there are other bronze wheels that look just as good. Not sure it’s worth buying new wheels and tires after paying for the bronze package. Although I guess I did that with my 21’ and sold the take-offs. It offset the costs.

What can you tell me about powder coating or painting wheels? As I mentioned above, I already have the size and design on my current white Mach e, but in black. Is powder coating to a matte bronze or a similar process a reasonable option? Does powder coating last and is it typically worth the cost and effort?

Still waiting for my MME. Won’t arrive for a few months I think. We’ll see what I do with the wheels. The stock bronze 20” already look pretty good so may not be worth the swap.

Powder coating your current wheels would be an excellent option. A good powder coating will last the life of the wheel. I had my original GT-PE wheels powder coated to all.l black a few years ago. Night pony package wasn’t a thing then and ford didn’t sell all black wheels. I paid $670 to keep the wheels I had but turn them black.

Granted I keep the main faces of the spokes covered in vinyl.
